• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Been busy past few days.

I got my XPZ build finished about a week and a half ago and got it running and notice leaks at the head gaskets which turned out to be leaks out of the ARP Head Studs. So in turn i pulled the motor back out to fix it. I decided to paint my LIM black to match the block, polish the IC plates, polish ZZP fuel logs, polish ZZP valve covers, polish ZZP 78mm Throttle Body, and polish my thermostat housing.
At the moment im still working on the valve covers and thermostat housing but here are some pics.

The IC plates dont look the best but better than before.

Looks really nice. Have you considered painting the waterpump?

I dont know. I have given the thought of maybe sandind the anodizing thats done on it off and polishing it but thats just kinda up in the air. I bought it new from a member on here so i didnt have a choice of the color.

Looks really good.

You might want to think about cutting the ends off the IC core where it reduces in size, keep it 3/4" throughout. You should be able to get hose clamps on and tight. I know some people have machined a little into the core to give more room for the hoses to clamp on.

Did you get the MLS headgaskets back on?

I will do that. Thanks for the tip.

As for the MLS's, i didnt. i just went back to stock. I didnt wanna have to pull the motor back out again in case those started leaking. I figured out the leaks this time werent from the HG's but were from the studs because i didnt put thread sealant on the threads into the block.

Dude, seriously nice stuff. I've gotta start workin on my Goat, cause if I see anymore of this I'm afraid I'll never stop modding my GP. Really nice work dude. :th_thumbsup-wink:

no one has ever had a problem with blowing head gaskets anyway.
Not as common on s/c setups, but higher boost setups do run into this problem. I don't see the point in not using the mls' if you have them and the one's he had were thinner than stock gaskets.
Thanks alot. And yes she will be on the road soon. And will definetly have a vid as well.
I'd start with the 3.4 pulley though, i see you have the 3.0 on there now...

I dont wanna try them again just because i myself dont feel confident with them.

And id like to try to get a 3.25 and maybe a 2.9. I dont have the snout machined which i probably should do for furthur down the road.
