ive got a 01 gt sedan with a HAI being my only mod so far. whats it gonna take for me to beat a stock mid to late mustang?

Yeah the 05+ GT's are a bit different the the older bodystyles. The mid 90's are the easiest to smack around lol. For the 05+ F/I or spray will be the only way to take one.

true story, i work at a ford chevy lincoln mercury honda dealership..... ford's v-6 especially those years were junk.... there new v-6 mustangs will give you a good run...... Give him a run now and I bet you smoke it by atleast a car..... let us know how it goes

Exactly!

V6 Stangs in the 1/4 mile:
SN95 96-98: mid 16's
New Edge 99-04: mid-high 15's
S197 05+: low-mid 15's

As for GT's in the 1/4 mile:
SN95 96-98 GT: mid 15
New Edge 99-04 GT: high 13 - low 14
S197 05+ GT: mid 13 - high 13

Watch out for New Edge GT's in the 1/8th mile though. Those 2v's are very very torquey! My 03 GT put out 310rwtq. They are no joke!

my friend has a 07 stang gt with a predator tuner (goof got it in an automatic tho..lame) i can get him at start and til he hits 3rd....then his top end gets me...but im all stock (compG) atm...i think his best time last year at the strip was a 13.5.
