Beat on a 96 Mustang GT

Was leaving home and about a mile down the road im driving behind these 2 high school aged youngins, one guy in a ford fusion and the other in a 96 body style mustang GT. Well one of them honked off(this was prob a 40 roll) and they both took off but i said hey ill play. Surprisingly that fusion pulled on the stang and within seconds I was blowing past the stang as well and was right on the fusions tail. Then the Fusion guy backed off and went somewhere but the dude in the GT still wanted to play with me now. He had passenger and definately exhaust since it was loud, and was automatic. He ended up in front of me and he had clearance and he punchd it (you can say a 50ish roll) as i followed. I scoot over to the lane next to him and reel him in pretty nicely, and i take it up to 105mph with about 2-3 cars and still could have pulled strongly but let off due to upcoming light. He was done after that lol. Those older GT's really are slow lol.

Noice job beating up on that silly slow 96. That guy most likely hanged himself with his 20ft timing chain after he realized he was so slow.

My buddy just picked up an 01 Mustang GT auto. They're apparently running around 14.2-14.4 in the 1/4 stock.

The 4.6 went through so many improvements from 96-99 iirc 96 they were 210hp or 215hp 97-98 they were 225 and then in 99 they went up to 260. So if it was a 96 you could have come close to stomping him in a stock Grand Prix GT or even a 3.8 SE.
