I have it on disc. waited in line for this bad boy, already had origin installed, account is made(Grimcin is my name) and on 2nd disc installing, should be playing in 30 minutes, gotta smoke first!
 
Got it and played it only for 2 hours, none of my friends are playing it yet.

I played bf2142 a lot, if you ever played in the xtreme server gibraltar map, you probably know me.

Can anyone confirm how many simultaneous players does BF3 support?

oh and for anyone wondering running awesome on amd cpu 945 and ati 6870 graphics card and 8 gigs of ram, lows fps i saw was 35(outside/city) and highest fps was 70's(inside buildings). that was cranked graphics and 2xaa.

How does EA manage to **** up every launch day for BF games. Picked up the game and figured I could load faster with the disc.. NOPE.. EA makes you download the game with Origin even with the ****ing disc in the drive. I've got 16 gigs of data sitting on 2 discs and its all useless. I would love to meet an EA exec so I could punch him in the ball sack.
 
Lol at you for not doing research :D

Arguably its still ****ed in many other ways.

Namely connecting to the server. Still issues with large parties.

Looks like the disc took over the install about 50% in.. now Origin shows transfer rates of 4.8MB/s instead of 200k/s.

there is a way of doing it on the discs, i got the game to install in 10 minutes, i did disc 1 in 5 min and the transfer rate was way to high to be my internet. then it asked for disc 2 and it was done that disc even quicker. i just follwed in installation instruction cause their is several ways to install it, if you look at the manual :th_thumbsup-wink:
 
Ya, not sure how I goofed it up but its done now. Got a few games in and realized that the GP has made me neglect my PC. haha
