Guys.. the old one I inherited years ago died.

I'm looking at
Schumacher 10030
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846

Also their hybrid also version
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846

And this black and decker

Some reviews on each aren't all that impressive. I suppose some will fail from the factory etc. I'm currently biasing toward the top one. I'm interested in what you have and what works well. Most of the time, I'd be 2amp trickling overnight. But there are times were I need to fire something up right away.

Advice, info is appreciated.

pretty sure i just got this one from my brother. it was on clearance for 20 bucks.
http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/travellerreg;-2-6a-manual-battery-charger-101588799--1 my brother does some good research on who makes stuff. it turns out that this charger is the same brand we had as kids. and lets say it got left in the rain, ran over a few times, still left in the rain, the metal cover was then gone, still in the rain, and guess what? it still worked for year on end.

he has 2 of them, one for each house.

Thanks for the input guys.

Ended up going with the middle link that I posted. At first glance it looks a bit over the top for a charger, even a bit intimidating to the mechanic buddy. A quick read of the instructions and it couldn't be easier. Does a great job with a fast charge and maintain. So far it's been helping the mower since there's something up with that puppy. Anyhow.. it has an appointment for Tues and all is well for the mower.

Since the charger is a so far so good and making me happy to date. Here's a picture of the happy mower

My grandpa has this old sears one, easily twice my age like most of his stuff. Works flawlessly just doesn't kick off when the batt is charged so its killed a few batterys before that hes left on for too long. Old stuff never dies, its awesome.

Russ...they didn't do automatic back then. It was..you stood there and monitored it.

200 amp is going to fire up most cars even with a dead battery..
