• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Basic Hop-Up

Gas milage has been consistent, around 17-20mpg depending on how heavy my foot is. I will Email Will with overkill and asked if he got rid of the cat test. I blew a coolant elbow today, replaced them, and the garbage napa gave me dripped a little at first, but it stopped. So I bought a set of aluminum ones with some water pump RTV, ill install those tonight. Put my fog lights in and they look good, but I haven't washed my car yet. I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Merry Christmas!

Put new headlights and taillights in, also some exhaust tips. I'm really happy how the tips turned out. For having to hold everything together with self tappers before I could go borrow a welder, they look better than most muffler shops. It only has a resonator, and the tips are resonated as well. It has a nice rumble to it, but isn't really obnoxious. I kept reading the 3800s sounded bad, but I've gotten multiple compliments on it, from car enthusiasts that dealt with Chevelles and Challengers back in their prime. So if my little old V6 impresses people that are used to big block 454s and 440s, im happy. Here's a few photos of it after a good wash. Oh and I'm sure people will be questioning my sticker, so I'll post a link to what it's in "tribute" of. BEWARE, ITS CRUDE AND QUITE FUNNY. https://youtu.be/f9x74SlY1ik

Yeah when I had the stock tips it had a ton of cab drone at 2k or so. I put these resonated tips on and I was really surprised they got rid of it.

The other day I bought 2 JL W3 10" and hooked them up to an amp. I had some 0 gauge wiring in my old Exploder that I used for my 15s, but it wasn't quite long enough to make it to the trunk. So I have them resting comfortably in the back seat for now. It's a little "oakey" but I have to had to have some thump!

I recently acquired a car that had the SLP loudmouth exhaust on it, and being that it won't need it for what we're doing....it went on mine.
It's surprisingly tame at highway, a little louder than my dynomax, so I'm happy with it.

Threw my subwoofers in the back. The carpet matches well, and it has about 1 1/2" of play on each side. For just buying a box without taking measurements, I'd say that's as good as its going to get.

My GTP has been running good, but today I ran into an issue. If im in 1st gear and I step on it, she hits 6,000-6,100 rpm it stutters for a split second then shifts. Its almost seems as if its hitting a rev limiter, or fuel is being cut off. It doesn't sound like any rev limiter I have ever heard though. If I get on it but let off right before 6k it doesn't make the noise and shifts as it should. In the past when I've revved it up in neutral and held 4-5k I believe makes the same noise, a fuel cut off or something. I've ruled out the catalytic converter, because I don't have one. I've ruled out the plugs, because I changed them 2,000 miles ago. I'm thinking it could be wires, fuel filter, or possibly because I could never get the case relearn to perform correctly. My theory is with the cold weather and 180 t-stat I couldn't get the temp high enough. There's no loss in power or anything like that, besides the 6k cut out it runs flawlessly. I haven't had the opportunity to test the issue in 2nd gear. Can't do 80mph in town, ill give it a shot on some back roads tomorrow. I checked to make sure I didn't have and wires arcing on the manifold, I unhooked the positive and negative terminals, then held them together for 10 seconds, and double checked transmission fluid. It's not like transmission slip or anything, the motor definitely changes sound. What do you experts think it could be?

Update, I tried it in 2nd gear two times. Got nothing, I didn't want to try it anymore because I'm already in trouble for reckless driving. Doing 100 mph on probation, won't exactly get me off easy. Only does it in first gear right at 6k, I took a video of it. I'll see if I can use photobucket to upload it.

you should not be shifting at 6k. more like 5600 if stock of course.

only way you shift at 6000 is if your tuned for it. or the trannys slipping or something like that.

You're an idiot.

I have an Overkill PCM, raising the **** to 6100 RPM. Im near positive its not transmission slip. If I have the pedal pressed down pretty firm against the floorboard it does what its doing at 6k or just a hair before and shifts before 6100 RPM. If I give it full throttle, but don't push down as hard it will run to 6100 RPM and shift no problem. I need more time to mess with it, I already burned up about 3 gallons of gas in 15 minutes.
