• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Basic Hop-Up

Downpipe and tune with 93 octane might be 210-215 to the tire.

Add the pulley and thats another 10-15 to the tire or so. So once you are done it might be around 230ish to the tire maybe 260-280 ft lbs of torque. These motor always make more torque than HP with basic bolt on's and thats what makes them feel faster.

I'm pretty sure I covered that in my post, maybe you should try reading???

I gave both possible outcomes here, without the pulley drop and with pulley drop.

OK, I was a little off. I added the low sides of what everyone claimed their add-ons did. Thats why I asked people that know what they are talking about before I went and boasted to my friends some number I pulled out of my ass. Thank you all for the help, this forum really increased my knowledge with supercharged cars. Oh and the flex pipe might make a little noise, but im 100% positive it's a lifter. After adding marvel mystery oil it definitely doesn't do it as long. I'm betting it will be cleared up pretty soon. So if I end up having some KR when I install my pulley, the next step would be a powerlog. Will the powerlog pass CA smog visual? If not, how hard is it to swap out? Being on the front I imagine fairly easy? What are my options with CARB legal headers? Might be best money-power wise just to do that than mess with a powerlog.

^^he was also talking about doing a 3.4.....hence the 230ish max at the wheels.....reading...you should try it.
I thought he talking about his currently installed mods, not his future mods. IF he wasn't my mistake,
no need to get all pissy about it. :th_winking:

It really depends on the tech who does the inspection. I've passed twice with my plog at a shop near my house with no problem, but at another smog place two blocks up the road it was a no go. As far headers go, you don't have many options that are CARB legal, like Turbocharged400sbc said only TOGs come with a CARB sticker and they're pricy. Also swapping out your DP to OEM for smog time is a good idea, that's what I've been doing for the past four years with my 3" catless DP. Also one last heads up, save your OEM air box, if you go to a cone filter on your intake, you might not pass the visual inspection if you don't have a CARB sticker for that as well. Sorry dude, we're in Cali, and Cali hates gas engines... that's why the SF bay area is the land of the Prius lol.

Yeah I'll have to swap my intake and DP. California really sucks when it comes to smog. I see people driving cars that roll more coal than a straight piped Cummins, and I fail smog for headers.

My PCM will arrive a little later than everything else. Do you guys think the PCM will really change the KR? Basically I'm asking if I'll be safe to run the pulley for a short amount of time before I get a PCM. I ordered a scanner with the pulley, so I can monitor it. I guess if it comes down to it I can keep it out of the boost zone for a few days.

The scanner and pulley are coming in the same package. I bought a ZZP puller as well, so if it's a terrible amount I can always swap back. Should be here Friday, so I'll post my results then. Is it likely to have any KR with the stock pulley?

Update: My package arrived about 45 min away from me at 1:00 A.M. and it's not getting delivered until Monday. Spend $430 with a company, still have to pay $20 for shipping, and the package is delayed for no apparent reason. Just my luck! My PCM will probably be here the end of next week, maybe a little later.

$430 for a 3.4 pulley, pulley puller, a smaller belt, and an Aerotech scanner. PCM cost me around $260. Swapped pulleys and im getting around 3-4 KR and 5 at the very most. When I get my PCM im hoping it will help a touch. Runs pretty good now, oh and I changed my Supercharger oil.

You can't go pick up the package?

You mean aeroforce scanner and no aerotech right?

They are plug and play computers but some require a case learn (cam/crank relearn). The aeroforce scanner can do those and I'd recommend doing one anyway.

Yes Areoforce, must have gotten confused. Okay I'll do that when it shows up, any tutorials on how to do it? I imagine it's just a matter of clicking buttons, but im new to it.
