Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

i just bought a 3.4 sc pully. 104s 180 deg stat.. O2 emulator... I have a 3 inch down pipe slp cat back exhaust k&n dropin filter.. what other supporting mods are recommended? im kinda new to this... i do have a scan tool. CAI??? pcm??? what recommendations do you guys have for me

Thanks Brian

Yeah get a CAI/FWI setup of some sort. Also grab a PCM if you can. DHP, Overkill, or even Intense...

THEN...drop to the 3.4"

get the zzp stainless power log. I just put it on my car with the 3" cated dp. The 3.4 pulley will work fine with the rest of your mods when you also get the overkill pcm. These are the recommended mods that i have followed from most of the more knowledgeable people in this forum. The people here do know their stuff!

Plog, pcm, and cai/fwi with what you already have will be what you need for the 3.4. Like said above, a overkil pcm would be your best bet.

Thanks guys... what cai is the best for the money? and overkill pcm do they need the pcm from my car as a core or can i give them back one that i have from a different gtp? my car is a 99 and i have another pcm from a 98..

You can PM WillOverkill on here. He's a member. And can answer all your questions. As for cai, I have heard lots of good stuff about the wizaired intakes.

Make you own...that is the best way to go IMO...you can get build one with PVC pipe and run it into the hole in your fender.

X2 theres a write up in the how to section bro...all you really need though is 4 inch THINWALL PVC pipe not thick...4-3 rubber pipe fitting and a 45 pvc elbow all can be found at home depot...to seal the pvc slip fit on the elbow i used a liquid gasket compound cost all in all 60 bucks with a kn not bad

ARISE ARISE thy dead thread, cmon bro use the search BOX.

I think he did, thus the resurrection of this post...

If it's all done correctly and you're not getting any knock, you'll see a jump from 190-200whp to 230-240whp which is significant. It translates to a 40 - 50hp difference. Add rockers on top of that and it gives you another nice bump and a new found top end.

you can run a 3.4 with a180 t-stat Al 104's tune Plog and DP?

Sure.

If you scan.

One of the big misconceptions on the platform is you need "X" or you need "Y" mods...my car took rockers to get rid of knock on a 3.5"...then again...I only had PEM's and a 3" DP.

If you can get away with it knock free (granted I wouldn't try it without a way to scan, an MPS system so you can swap back to a larger pulley if you CANT get away with it, and a way to tune the car...preferrably with a wideband/DHP or HPT system)...more power to ya ;)

People have a bad habit of taking guidelines as fact. If you're modding past a 3.4" pulley your first (or one of your first) purchases should be a scan gauge.

I agree, but honestly...I'd buy one first things first.

Never hurts to know what your car is doing from the get go.

Especially if you plan on modding, even lightly.

I agree after regular maintenance my first purchase was a scan tool and yes I used the search bar first and wound up here
