base GP amber lights to 50/50 split fogs - possible?

Just what the title says. I was wondering if I could switch out my single amber lights for 50/50 split fog lights on my '08 base model. Would there be a lot of rewiring needed since the plug ins are different? Has anyone tried this before? I know if I did switch them I would have to run a switch for the fogs also. Thanks for any help.
 


Looks like i can help since no one else has, ive done this on my 07 base GP.

Go to amazon and order the split fogs from there for our car, it will say fog/turn/parking lights, and it will fit perfectly into the housing. I would then get hids for the fogs that you will get since it will be easier to relay them to the parking lamps. You will need to relay them to the parking lamp with a relay harness and well hard to explain like this but i had someone else do the relay for me.

So when you get the relay harness, you will have a power wire that goes to the battery, and a ground wire. Hook those up accordingly. then, you have another power wire off of the relay harness that you will splice into the parking lamp wire by cutting and soldering them together to complete a circuit. kinda is hard to explain but i hope this helps and it can be done and the fogs will turn on with the parking lamps
 
So the fogs will turn on with the automatic headlights and parking lamps and also when you switch them manually to the parking lamps? And the turn signals are wired in separately then so the fogs aren't blinking with them I take it. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
 
Ya when you DRL is on the fogs are off because the Lamps are off, when you turn the parking lamps on manually the fog turns on with it. When you get the Split fogs you take the plug with the turn sig/ parking lamp and it will plug perfectly into the turn sig part and will turn on. The fogs wont thats why you have to relay them into the the parking lamps and that is easier with HIDs. When you are set and done you get a bright output. Hope this goes well for ya
