Bailout for the porn industry? WTF next.

Yeah just cought the last part on the news. Larry flynt i belive just asked for 5 million for a bailout. He said dvd sales are down but web site activity is up.


Will get the compleate story on this later tonight.Or if someone feels up to it go ahead.

I have a little more info on it lol, the owners of HUSTLER and Girls Gone Wild are asking congress for 5 billion. Yeah I said BILLION, since the internet porn business has taken off and porn is one of the main reasons people go on the use for DVD's and magazines has decreased I think 20% over the last year. They think they money will benefit them, at it will do is keep them afloat for the next couple years MAYBE but this will lead to less profitable businesses asking for bailouts. IMO they have to tap into the live cam shows to make any real money nowadays people are getting smarter and instead of paying 60$ for an hour and a half skinflick that they get to watch once they want to be able to interact with the people they once would put and a pedestal and well you know :th_king-evil: now they will go online and find free stuff (it isn't hard we all know that:th_winking:). But one day they will fall to people who are so desperate for money they will always get undersold by smaller companies (I know it sounds contradictory to what I stated earlier but this is many INDEPENDENT companies). I could write for a longer time but it isn't really worth it.

Waiting on other peoples opinions :)
 
I saw that story towards the end of the day at work.

I tell ya, if the government bails them out I think I just may renounce my citizenship and move to Vorkuta and play with reindeer or something.
 




I had deep deep concerns as soon as they announced the financial system bail out that it was going to come to this. Everyone lining up for that government cheese.

It really ticks me off because if I screwed up my finances the way some of these companies have, there would be no bail out for me. It would either cut back expenses or do without a few things. I just dont grasp why this principle doesnt apply to businesses as well.

Every company is going to have there hands out. FACT is We had a few overly good years where people spend too much. Now people are paying off there older purchess and holding off on new stuff. Evey company should put enought money to the side for a rainy day.

I couldnt have said it better myself. The government is a business as well and it too should be putting money away for rainy days.

Here in Oklahoma to do something like that, its called a rainy day fund. Well they recently announced that they had saved up some 600 million dollars. Guess what was being broadcast the next day? All these groups saying that they were running short and that they though we should dip into the rainy day fund to help make up the short comings.

What is it with people that once they get a few bucks saved up they have to spend it as quickly as they can?
