Bad struts?

Recently my car making noise on the high way of shaking sound.
When on bumps it sounds like boom.
Anyway it sounds like its coming from the front driver side.

The problem is that i have rust and really scared to do anything there.
How can i know for sure what it is?

My car has an issue where when I turn to the right, it vibrates. The faster I'm going the harder the vibration. While searching for a solution I've read some people with your issue and one suggestion was worn engine mounts.

It sounds like u have a bad CV half shaft. If ur turning right then it would be ur passenger side CV shaft. Also could be a bearing as well
To check bearings Jack car up and grab the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock and see if it has any play.

On the CV shafts check to see if their leaking grease or if the boots are ripped

I found that same diagnoses a lot of places. Guess that's the most common up there with struts. I know I might have a bearing issue, but I doubt think it's bad enough to cause vibration. I need to repair a couple things before selling the car...this problem being one; should I replace both half shafts or just the drivers side? (apologies for semi-hijacking the thread >_< )

Well I did both of mine. Vest guess would be take wheels off and look the shafts over really well. And buy Napa shafts they tend to be best oe replacements
