Bad Ass Car Thread :D

i dont understand collector cars and i never will. to each their own. i buy cars to drive them.

Some of us do drive them- Just not much. It's more than mileage you have to be concerned with, it's the other oblivious Camry driving texting @sshole on the road with you. I'm at 14K on the '02 T/A, 40K on the '00 SS, 12.9K on the '96 Impala and almost at 70 on the wife's '00. Each of them have seen their fair share of close calls- And, in case you hadn't heard, they're not easily replaceble in this kind of condition. I'm with Dale E overe there- Drive them when you want to, and not because you have to. And one more thing to add. I don't buy cars, and get bored- They stay a lifetime.

no, no i completely understand that you cant replace them and they are straight up one of a kind. i just feel like the need to actually get it out on the road and do some wear and tear on it if it's in my posession. i dont think of them as investments, but toys. that's the difference.

I don't consider them as investments, because I'll never sell 'em. But I will agree, every time I get one out, the ride is priceless.

Mine are investments. I enjoy them and for someone to say or tell me what I should do with them is none of their business. Period. I enjoy driving one every once in awhile out to eat or to a car show or a parade. Mine are for sale for the right money. If you want something low mileage and rare it cost, especially if it is the only one.

Collector cars are much more different than drivers. The way I see it, is that if there are a limited production number of a car/truck it should be stored as long as it will be valuable in the future. Not like a daytona GP. I love the Camaro and Trans-am. The L-82 would be driven if in my garage. You can always buy a non valuable/non limited production Camaro or Trans-Am to ride hard. My dad has an 02 Vette that is not a limited number car, but he doesn't drive it and i get on him for that. I think it has like 24k on the OD. But this is my opinion and may be invalid to some....

they are your cars, do with them what you want. i never said otherwise. that was my way of saying 'damn low miles on those cars'.

but to keep on topic..
