• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Back in a GP

Its been a few years but happy to be back in a Pontiac! Even more happy to discover a community of owners still going strong after all these years. So hello one and all...I am a former member of Grand Prix.net, ClubGP, and recently joined wbody.com.

Looking forward to many years with my new toy, a pristine 2002 Grand Prix GT I picked up in Pennsylvania for $4995 with 69k original miles. A garage kept queen if I've ever seen one.

Congrats on the new car! Glad to have you as a part of the community. Thanks for supporting the new site.

I had read a lot of posts over at wbody.com about the GPF crashing but now back up so I thought I'd check in. Glad to be here. the more the merrier!

I'm definitely looking forward to digging in on some mods come the spring.

My usual order of business is to start with exhaust, mostly because I cant take a quiet car and the stock GP system is a bit too buzzy. I've been listening to a ton of Youtube clips and I think the Cherry Bombs sound the best. So a ZZP DP w/hi-flo cat, CB glasspak replacing the resonator, then a pair of CB Vortex out back. After that, probably wheels/tires and the factory rear spoiler has to go in favor of a little bolder style. I had the SD spoiler on my 2001 and loved the look so maybe another one of those. By then summer should be in full swing so we'll see how engine mods go. I was originally thinking I wanted to try a top swap but that has become way more work than I want to tackle so I'll most likely follow the same path as before with some basic N/A mods and make the engine bay look sharp.

Here's ashot of the engine bay from my 2004 Bonneville (I definitely liked how this one turned out)
