• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

The car has 111k miles. Took it in for them to do a pan drop fluid n filter change, they advised not to continue with the new fluid as they think it could wash out some of the old stuff. I looked at the pan and there really wasn't any metal flakes just some sludge like on the magnet... Are they just being ***** and don't want to be on the hook for something?

Adding new fluid won't do anything.

If they flushed the fluid out, then it could make things worse. And how'd they get all your old fluid back in anyway, they drain into a seperate drain bucket instead of a oil caddy?

The fluid was still red, I don't really care for this shop, it was an AAMCO shop with lazy management, how they had good reviews beats the hell out of me. I thought something was off from the beginning

I already left he didn't charge me and he didn't want to give me a receipt, so I asked him for one anyways and left

but what fluid did they put back in? most shops drain it into a tank of other used fluid. so its gone. why not change the filter as long as the pans off?

dont make sense at all.
