You need a power that comes on with the ignition, a ground thats a ground, and one wire connected to the wire coming from the steering controls(orange/green to whatever your steering control color is)
 
Got the power and ground connected, for kenwood it says to hook up brown wire out of 3.5 mm plug to steering wheel control wire, check. But it also says hood up orange/green wire to pin 14 which is power antenna wire.
Total of 4 wires. Or do i only need the 3?
 
I had 4. power, ground, and the brown to the radio like youve done, Then I had the 4th wire ( was a different color for me cause my jeep) was connected to the wire coming from the steering wheel controls
