Awful drone when in overdrive.

Ok need some suggestions. When my car goes into overdrive my mufflers begin to drone and its quite annoying and irritating. So I was thinking of changing the mufflers. Any ideas? I have thrush mufflers on there now but I was told I don't have a resonator. Would a resonator help? Thanks guys.

Yes it helps, a res is there to help stop drone.

just put a glass pack in there, they cost 25 bucks, new res around a 100. you do the math.

if you look up a walker res for your car, then look at a glass pack, its the same thing.

Ok cool. Any particular kind I should buy?

they are all the same really, you want it to have 2.25 in and out let tubes.

if you have a fatory pipes you will need to have it welded in.

if you have after market pipes like i do, you can drop the exhaust and clamp it in, i also bought a flange to the cat and had one tube cut off and the flange welded on to it, so it would bolt up to the cat.

this is a 32 inch glass pack. my factory res was around 30 inches, (flange to tube end) so after cutting the tube off and adding the flange it fit pretty good.
