ok i got 2 ?'s for you folks i put a piece of card board under my car last night cause i suspect a lil oil leak it sat for 12 hours and this moring there was a dime size drop any thing i should worry about u think and i wonder were its coming from

? 2 anybody know a price range or problem my drive window has a new motor but towards the top it gets stuck (like the front piece of the glass gets stuck a lil ) and when i assit it a lil it goes up fine with a lil bit of help looked in it everything appears fine

If its the size of a dime that should mean only a few drops which isn't that bad for a 12 hour time span. I would be concerned [because im kind of meticulous when it comes to keeping my car in working order] but i wouldn't be panicked. Just periodically check your oil level and make sure you aren't low.

I know you said oil and i am assuming you mean engine oil, would i be correct in my assumption? We could help better if we were sure what kind of fluid it is and [more importantly] where its coming from.

And i can't help you with the window problem i am not experienced in that area sorry.

yep its the motor oil the pontiac dealership said there was a lil seapge from the oil pan gasket how costly and hard is the oil pan seal to do

The oil pan is going to be one of the problematic things to replace. I have never tried it myself, but my understanding is that you have to loosen or lower the cradle/subframe some to get it out. There are a few on here that have replaced the gasket before, perhaps they will step in and let you know all the details.

If and when you do this use a small bead of RTV along the pan gasket also. When replacing mine when the engine was out I didnt use rtv and now a have oil seepage also...And yes all bolts were torqed down to the proper ratings.
