• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Appraise my computer please... I might sell it.

I'm getting tired of playing the upgrade game on the computer. I have had this one for quite a while and its time to upgrade again but I just don't want to.

Hmm.. Thats about what I expected. It still runs all the games I listed fine, even at 1920x1080. Maybe I will upgrade the mobo, cpu, and ram. That will put it back in the game good. I love Bad Company 2 and I hear that battfield 3 was be pretty awesome.

Plus if you sell the comp your WoW account doesnt have to go with it. If you buy a new laptop u can still play it on there :P may not be fast but itll run it

Yea I know. I just do not have much interest in the game anymore. I'm actually quite bored with it and have cancelled my subscription to it.

Selling computers used is a bit hard. Going to say 300-400

They just don't go as easy as you think, then again you could get lucky and sell it for what you want.

You're probably looking at the upper 400 range to lower 500 it really depends on the buyer. I personally wouldn't give you more than 300.00 but I have an idea of what the equipment is worth.

$1315 +TAX *most forget TAX* to build what you have right now with 5mins of google searching and Newegg / Amazon Pricing... can come down with time, sales, and research.

Take into consideration several of those are older parts, outdated, some even deactivated in Newegg. Cut the price in half for the USED tag and selling purposes you could still be at $660 and I know alot of people that would jump on even and older built gaming rig with monitor, board/mouse, speakers and most of all a WORKING windows key. That's the most expensive part short of the Graphics Card.
Used or not I see people still trying to get $300 out of old XP machines that won't even run Windows 7 anymore. You guys shouldn't low ball prices like that. Its a nice build, push $500-600 for the whole lot if you want to sell quickly on Craigslist in your area.

If you want a laptop look into the ASUS G53JW series laptops.... they range $1200 to $1800 but IMO its the best bang for your buck. 2 friends have one as does a member on this forum. They are amazing machines and if I had the money Id have 1 too

Were not lowballing. We are saying what an educated computer user would buy them for. With outdated pieces their value would drop significantly. Also, nothing would come with a warranty.

Further more Newegg and most other online places do not charge tax to most states. To someone who doesnt have the knowhow to build their own computer they may pay more for an older one already put together. We were only stating what would be from us who already build our own.

Considering most computer educated buyers would build theirs from the ground up to get exactly what they want, I would venture to say its safe to assume the Appraisal would be for your avg joe. As if he was going to put on Craigslist or Ebay but didn't know what a fair asking price would be.

Thus why I priced it out for currently building exactly what he has, then deducted half to be resonably low. I could build a comperable tower for that price yes, but I know where to go and how to build it. Alot of people don't but they don't want to buy a new one from somewhere and trust the $1000 + they spend is worth it. At $600 for a complete computer system, monitor and all you really can't argue its a deal. Tower alone I would say $300-400 but you throw in speakers, mouse, keyboard, 23" monitor bump to $600 on CL and see how long it lasts.

I will admit I forgot price of all the externals considering when I speak of a computer monitor and all that is not included. 600 may not be out of the asking range. Try it and see maybe put 750 as a price range and be willing to work. You never know what youll get.

I love my AMD its quality for the price. And for gamers its wonderful i use a 3.2 quad core. and it doesnt even try

Same here, I got a 6 core and I cant even come close to slowing it down, we tried doing google earth with another 3d game at the same time and 1 or 2 other programs but it still handled it(with GeForce video card also)

SO what type of toons we talking :P might be interested in making you some money

Its quite sad actually. I started playing when BC came out. I made a human paladin who is now 85 with 1xx days of game time logged on him. He has almost 5k ahievment points. He is currently prot/ret with ilvl of 343 on both. I have a 24 NE hunter and a 36 Dranei shaman.

This what I thought about listing it at just to give it a shot.

Thanks for your input guys. I know most of the components are outdated but a guy can still be hopeful. :th_laugh-lol2:

Quite respectable.... I feel like a uber nerd. I started about the middle of Wrath. I currently have a 85 gnome rogue (ilvl339), 85 NightElf DK (ilvl334), 85 Drenei Priest (ilvl 348) and then 3 other sub lvl 30 toons

Oddly enough I DO have a GF that lives with me, we DO go out and be sociable, and I DO work 40+ hrs a week, and manage to have time to sleep while playing the game.... Im awesome:th_laugh-lol2:
