Anyone play Airsoft?

I recently got into it. We have shop wars and sometimes security forces will let us play the "opfor" against them for a more unpredictable training exercise. They use airsoft regularly for the realism of the weapons.

Anyway, post up what you got. I've just got my P90 right now. My 1911 is on the way since it was backordered. Played tons of games this weekend and had a blast.

Not sure if you're familiar with the P90, but it's one of my favorite guns of all time. I'd own one if it didn't cost like $2500 for one. Small, light weight, but as accurate as an M16. Fires a proprietary 5.7x28 round that is armor piercing. Intended as a personal defense weapon in hostile areas, more for vehicle operators and security personnel. In the US, it's used by special forces teams and the Secret Service.

P90 and the two included magazines:

Gun bag I bought that is fairly unimposing and isn't obvious about what's inside (airsoft or not):

Cross draw vest (pistol is backordered :( ):

With a magazine (these hold 68 BBs):

The real P90 has somewhat transparent magazines to see how much ammo you have. It would destroy the effect if these didn't have bullets to look at: :)

It did come with an orange tip like all airsofts. But the box also included the black tip you see in the pictures. I can interchange them at will (screw on, screw off).

What do you have? If you want to talk real guns, we can have another thread.

My bros brought back 2 rifles from Japan when they went. It was very hard to get em here in 02. They look exactly like the real deal.

One is a PSG1 and the other is a G3.

I use to be into it, i had well actully i still have it a sawed off shot gun and a bunch of handguns that were replicas but they still shot and they hurt like hell, i had a ww2 p38 and some revolver. I always liked the looks of the p90's

I used to be really into this but went for the upgrade into paintball (Much better IMO). Got really into paintball (mostly bush and speed but did do some big team tactical games). Now that I have gotten out of paintball my cousin went and bought a couple rifles and two shotguns that we use out at our grandmas farm (Not sure what kind but hoping to get into it more over the summer)

This is the upgrade to paintball, not the other way around. I used to play paintball and airsoft is so much better. Hurts more so you have more incentive to not get hit. Also you don't have to worry about people not calling out their hits. When they're hit, they yelp (or cuss). Paintball is weak sauce compared to airsoft.

Best part is that paintball stuff is ridiculously expensive compared to airsoft. That gun cost me $155 and shoots at 400FPS around 14 rounds per second. Enough to tear though the bottom of a coke can and almost out the top at 20ft (single BB, not auto). I've got scars from being shot with my friend's M4 nearly two months ago. Plenty of fire power for much less money, plus you don't look goofy running around with a ray gun looking deal and a gay hopper on top. If it wasn't for the orange tips on our airsofts, you couldn't tell us from a special ops team based on our gear.

End rant I guess. Just sick of paintball. Doesn't offer what I'm looking for I guess.

Street we have a Benjamin at work that shoots 1500 fps with PBA ammo. Thats 65fps faster than a CCI Velocitor .22 rilfe bullet @ 1435fps.

We try not to do more than superficial damage. Down boy. :th_laugh-lol2:

Pfft, your no fun. :(

lol

Awesome, they make some seriously powerful 'toys' now days. Mine and that one for example. I can shoot through a wooden fence and still do damage to something behind it. So I can image what that one would do.

I'm all set with my rugar .22 semi auto, if i get bored with the 10 round clip i'll stick in my 30 round clip, ohh and the .22 is half the price of that pellet gun too. Plus i can buy 550 .22 rounds for 10 bucks.

Ive got a 10/22 with all the bells & whistles, but just the fact a air rifle can shoot faster than a "true" rifle is pretty sweet. Im guessing those 550 rounds are Winchester xpert hollow points... They are the worst made .22 out there. Try some Wolf Target match in your Ruger. Very accurate bullet.

Yep your right. But i just shoot cans, glass bottles old cars stuff like that so i dont really need better bullets. Ihave the wolf target ammo for my bushmaster.

Just make sure the wolf ammo your using in your AR isnt lacquer-coated...They will foul up your chamber and gum the action up after sustained use. The newer .223 wolf is ok..at least its not coated. If you ever want accurate ammo for "hunting", i'd go with Black Hills, Hornady V-max 55gr or Hornady TAP ammo. These Barnes Varmint Grenade bullets are the coolest bullets ive seen in a long time...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYigC49tnh8
