Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

anyone own a 2.4L i think its a 4g60? its in the galant i need help

Chilton says a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant has the 3.0, sohc or dohc. I'd get you the chilton if it listed it right.

Chilton's is wrong (not the first time.) It also came with the 2.4

ah okay. and lol try an eclipse, or a stratus. that doesn't make sense why they wouldn't list it for the galant

Just so you are aware the Status had two different 2.4's. The earlier ones had the 420A based 2.4, I believe 2001 they switched to the 4g64 2.4,

Yeah chilton is not very specific. The eclipse might be the right one, but there actually isnt a head gasket R&R for it... Is this the engine by chance?

that sucks! I tried so many youtube videos but I cant find one with this engine. I watched like 10 videos of how to do it on other engines

There are downloadable manuals on the internet. You just have to know where to look. Considering you have the 4g64 there will be guides out there somewhere considering that was the engine used in the 2G Eclipse Spyders.

alright so I replaced the headgasket, thermostat, water pump and put coolant in it. it is still overheating and no heat inside the car. clogged heater core maybe? also everytime I take the battery out and put it back in the car dies at stop signs. but when its driving it runs perfectly (besides the overheating) any ideas? maybe a idle air control valve?

radiator was replaced last summer but im gonna try and unclog all the hoses and heater core as soon as its warm enough outside

alright well the headgasket blew again. and im not paying a lot of money again. anyone know of a site that its under $40 for a headgasket. 4g64 engine.
