any regular maintenance checks on the turbo?

since being new to the turbo side, i was wondering if there are any maintenance to be done/checked on the turbo or any of the other parts of the turbo setup, sic as BOV, WG, I/C, etc? like how the m90 needs its s/c oil to be changed every so often depending on how hard its being used as well as checking the conditions of the rotors and so forth.

also i have a catless straight pipe after the turbo downpipe. im using a 80/20 methyl alcohol to water mixture that sprays once i reach 10psi. the car shoots fireballs when letting off after going WOT above 10psi(remember alky sprays at 10psi+) good for the turbo? also my friend said while i was going WOT(at night) he said he saw blue flames coming from the exhaust. is this from the use of methyl/rich gases escaping?:th_sick1::th_radioactive::th_scratchhead:

pic of the catless pipe that im talking about that shoots fireballs and emits blue flames when at WOT:

Since there is a line feed to the turbo, i don't see why or how you would change it, until u change your motor oil. Sometimes the oil seal breaks/faulty in the turbo (happend with my friends evo) and you will smell the oil burning through your hvac vents.

as long as your setup isn't doing this

or if your getting flutter dump, and runs properly then i wouldn't worry to much. As far as the flames go, its most likely due to the meth/catless/fuel mixture (my friends gt35r evo spits flames all the time). Maybe someone else will chime in since i only know very little about turbo's

btw i am really jealous, i want turbo and flames :(

hmm ic. well my Tial BOV is working fine and its not making the compressor surge like mentioned. i do smell fuel/carbon monixide since my straight pipe is like directly underneath the shifter when the cars stationary 0.o....the catback/side exit will be reinstalled when i go for the yearly inspection. its sitting currently outside in the backyard. maybe i should cover it/shelter it form the rain -_-
