i used to be epicly in too reps when i was in high school. worked for a breeder and had and breed everything from water monitors to snakes to geckos. settle down quite a bit since then. just had my daughters bearded dragon. but the other day i rescued some iguanas from a guy i work with who was moving and couldnt keep them. there two years old male and female. guy didnt know theyd get so big, had them in a 60 gallon tank which is an epic no no for igs no matter what the size. anyway picked them up, seprated them so they each had there own tank (i had a spare 60 gallon) and got to work building them there new home. for thos of you who didnt know entertainment centers make awsome ig cages with a little work. so i found one on craigslist for 10 bucks about 2 miles from me. picked it up along with about 50 bucks worth of stuff from lowes and got to work. 9 hours later i had this

Don't have him anymore, but I used to have a pet snapper. :D Found the little guy as a baby (small enough to fit in my hand) and when I released him his shell was about as big as my open hand with enough mouth to probably snack on fingers or toes.
And it's not a reptile, but all I've got now is a frog. Nothing fancy with him really, just a pet-shop frog who is almost as old as me. He does sing at night though if you leave a dim light on lol.

I got an Everglades ratsnake but he isnt very touch friendly went a little while with out holding him because my GF is scared and he is kinda snappy now just drop in the mice for him

i grew up in southern cali. used to catch ca kings and then trap rattlers and watch em get eaten haha. also on the frog note i breed packman frogs for a while..get big enough to eat small rats, there were epic

i had a green iguana years ago. i got him was he was about 6 or 8 inches, had him for 6 or 7 years or, so he had grown to 50 inches or so, i have a pic with a tape measure. he had free roam of the house, and crapped in the bathroom on the linoleum, every time. i did have a 55 gallon tank where his heat lamp was and where the food was put for him, but he lived out in the open for the most part. he would just walk up to you climb you let you pet him, pick him up, coolest iguana ever.

when he started to get so big, and was jumping off the 125 gallon tank to the couch to steal your dinner off a plate, my girl at the times like lock it up or get rid of it, so kosmo kramer had to go lol

i gave him to a friend who built him a huge enclosure 4x4 to the ceiling. last pic i got of him he had grown a lot in girth.

cool pets if you have the time to handle them, if you dont they wont like to be handled it seems.

very true. i had a free roamer. had a cat post in the corner with a lamp for him. was about 48 inches. this ones wont get to roam due to my kid and the dogs..and the woman lol. but they will get an outside inclosure built for summer. only thin i miss about cali..damn near any reptile can be housed outside year round

Used to have an Anole, pretty basic in the reptile world but my mom hates reptiles so after him that was it. I was only in like 7 or 8th grade when I had him.... Had him in a 10 gallon tank with a heated pad and heat lamp. Top was mesh so air could get in lol. I know now that aquariums are not good for reptiles! Later in life it would be cool to get an Iguana... or if i want to be a real badass get my hands on a Monitor..... :th_king-evil:

Im gonna try to go take my snakeout the tank to get a pic. He might be biting me though lol he rattles anytime i open the lid

had a couple 4 foot water monitors....they were awsome. had a cage outside with a little pong. (basiccly an aviary) through in rabbits and watch the fun. tegus make good monitors for pets. can be tammed(more or less)
