Hello all just looking for some insight. I bought a 2000 gt awhile back. I have around $5,000.00 saved to spend on it for as engine mods cpu etc. The motor has 98,000 miles so a rebuild is the way i want to start this. I need some advice on a cam, roller rockers, and head mods that wont be to far out but good performance. I know alot about computers but when it comes to engine cams etc im kinda lost. I also decided to do a head swap to mount the super charger bought a rebuilt one off of a 2002 gtp. any ideas will be helpful thanks for any input.

do the top swap while you have the engine out, get a cam if you want, now is the time, everything else is up to you and your wallet.

98k miles is chump change. i wouldnt even touch it, youll just be wasting money unless you really want it for insurance reasons or if there is something wrong with it right now. if you still have good oil pressure and all, i would run it as is.

buy all your valvetrain stuff from either ZZP or Intense. they make all the big power stuff for our cars. dont buy a set of heads though, save money and take them to a local shop.

yea engine is on a stand lol. got it back 2 days ago short block rebuild. What kind of cam im lost on cams nothing to big though. i also went with forged pistons. Also wanted abput a 75hp shot of dry

yea waiting on heads to come back from shop. They also beefed up thing springs some. Clevite bearings

what are you looking to do? are you having your head cleared for .600" lift? how fast do you want to go?

Well the heads will have 600 clearance also upgraded retainers etc. I guess what I'm looking to due here is have a nice car in low 13s I leave were there are a lot of mustangs braging would like to smash a few lol

You can hit 12's without headwork. You dont need forged pistons if you have a good tuner, stock short block has been pushed past 700whp.

GenV supercharger
S1X Cam or maybe XPZ
#130 springs or 105's
rollmaster timing chain

built tranny with hard parts, looking at 2k or more for that
