First off - fast/reliable/cheap
You only get to chose two of the three!
Then, you want to do a cam, CORRECTLY, it's not CHEAP!
Cam, springs, seals, retainers, chain, headers, tune! Add it all up... Plus you might want to do other things while it's all open as mentioned, heads, etc to FULLY realize the gains of changing a cam. If you don't go all the way, why go at all?
Do you push the pedal only half way to the floor?
And yes, you do need a TUNE!
I love how people think you will change the air intake, exhaust, duration of those elements, timing and not need to adjust anything in the computer that controls it all. Come on guys!
Even back in the day before commuter control when you changed a cam you needed to adjust a slew of other things...
