just wondering i have the 99 supercharged GTP any nice decent mods that can be done for like 100 bucks and less?? thanks. :th_biggrin2:

PCM: $100
Custom cold air intake:$30-$100
180*stat: $30
Remove Supercharger Cover: FREE

I think the last mod is the best haha jk, but check out ZZPerformance for some mods that are cheap, they sell ALOT

autolite 605's, 180 tstat, homemade CAI/FWI can all be done for under $100. Removing the engine cover dropped my engine temps quite a bit which helps prevent kr.

if youre handy, take everything apart and port it with a dremel. free and you will get enormous gains.

You could always remove the throttle body screen.... but GM put it in there to straighten the air flow comming to the MAF, ive done to mine, but some ppl say they have a rougher idle... I havent had any problems (knocks on wood).

I've seen a lot of problems come from removing the MAF screen. I'd suggest leaving it, as you don't really gain anything (pressure drop across it from a flow test is negligible).

GETTTING the windows tinted with 5% i want to get smoked head n taillight covers. then an intake within a week.

I would not go with 5%. You will most likely get a ticket soon after you have them done. Plus it will be very hard to see out of your windows. I have 20% all around. My front two windows are illegal (must be 35% I believe) and in my mind that is perfect. I still can see out of my windows but I still get the tint I wanted.

Keep the MAF screen in place. You'll have more problems tuning with it out, been there done that leave it alone.

As for cheap mods for you...

-Autolite 605 @ .060.............. $10
-Borg/Warner Plug Wires..........$35 (I'd recommend doing these at the same time you do the plugs)
-180 T-stat + Coolant Flush............$20 (i'd recommend a PCM soon after for the fan settings)
-Voltage Booster...........................$10
-Alternator Rewire.........................$10
-Homemade Open Cone..................$50
-Remove S/C Cover.......................Free
-Remove Rear Hood Weather Strip....Free
-Clean up Factory Grounds..............$5

Theres a few easy ones right there for you...

for the tail lights just buy tail light spray tint off ebay and even when it drys go over the tail lights with a clear coat. smoked worked the best.

Yea, I pulled mine out and you'd swear I had one heck of a cam in it. And it kept throwing a trouble code too. So ended up putting it back in.

I still have mine out took out in Feb., havent had a code yet (knocks on wood). I still wouldnt take it out if you havent done so. Ill put mine back in when I get a tune done for it or start throwing codes.

Yea, they say it depends on the car. Some have no ill affect with it outand some do like me. It was nice sitting at a light and some punk pull up beside me and I rev at him, but he'd shake his head and say from the sound of the car he had no chance. But little did he know it was just a rough idle.lol!!!
