Any Bassists on here?

Perma-Banned! JK LOL
I need something to do to stay busy this winter, so I just bought a pre-owned Ibanez Ergodyne EDC-700 and will be re-learning bass again soon. I was originally planning on buying a Peavy Cirrius 4, but came across this and knew it was the one, and almost $100 less. I took guitar lessons like 10 years ago, but my hands can't do all that nonsense. Last summer the kid that lived with me got an advance copy of Emphatics latest CD and was told to learn it incase they needed a new basist (or so his side of the story goes), so I learned all the tracks on it when we played it all daily, since he had an extra bass.

Anyway. Anybody have any good songs to learn with or advice?

Here's pics of what I'll be picking up tomorrow or friday:

Never played guitar (except for rockband lol) but that thing looks sweet. Hope it sounds as good as it looks, maybe you'll have to post up a vid or two once you get back into playing it.

guitar looks nice broski, i personally play an epiphone thunderbird IV

anything red hot chili peppers is fun to play

I was looking into the Thunderbirds, but my ex who is going to be helping me learn has like 4 of them, including the Nikki Sixx signature. They're pretty nice!

I found a website called songsterr.com that I'm going to be using for a lot of playing with tab. You can single out an instrument and it will read through tab as it goes.

also try Ultimate-guitar.com they have some pretty decent tabs on there..
the only thing i have about thunderbirds is that they are neck heavy :th_biggrin2: but they sound amazing

I used to play guitar alot, still do now and again. Played the drums for awhile too with a crappy basement band me and some freinds started a few years back.

I do know this tho, if you get any good, you won't have any problem finding a band to play with. Bassists are rare.
