anyways since my last thread was such a sucess ill start this one,

im still having a problem with my high beam (blue) light coming on with i hit the switch for the fog lights, its not the problem with the wires crossed because i only have a single beam kit with only 2 wires going to the factory harness, i got a relay harness for the lows and one for the fogs that i hooked up yesterday but the problem is still there, i had to unhook the fog harness again because my car was missin like a mother, had the ses light flashing whole car was shakeing like crazy when at idle or under 1500rpm, so i disconnected the harness, just the power and ground for the harness, and the car seems to be running better, still blowing smoke out the ehaust and smells like stright gas but the ses isnt flashing anymore, but anyway back to the proplem at hand, now that the harness is unhooked the fogs wont turn on but when i hit the switch for the fogs the little blue light comes on, only comes on when the fog switch is turned on so my question to all of you is.....

HOW DO I GET THE STUPID LIGHT TO STAY OFF???

Your foglight switch is causing your car to shake and miss and throwing an SES light?
What are your fogs wired to, your fuel pump or something? Jesus.

no it was just doiong that when i had the relay harness hooked up for the fogs now that thats not hooked up anymore it stoped doing that

well just something to add:
i pulled the drl fuse, already have the drl disabled but im hoping that by pulling the fuse, that the auto lights will not work, tried unpluging the little sensor on top of the dash and the lights just stayed on all the time, so im just hoping thatll this will work

If you pull the sensor no light triggers it, therefore it's always "dark." To disable DRL there you need to get inside the side panel on the driver side of the dash.

I tried to disable my "auto lights" as per the methods found on this board, but failed.

I had to go this route..... clicky clicky.

newer, 01+ i think, you cant disable it via the fuses and stuff, they changed **** up, just how it goes.

ive had the drls gone for a while so the plug in the drivers side dash is out and i just tired the drl fuse to see what would happen,,i didnt hear a clicking untill the lights tried to come on

this part, i already did the reprogram thing with fuse so the lights dont flash for the alarm, is this the part your talking about

"All you need to do is cut the yellow wire (pin F, headlight switch signal) coming out of the DRL module. You can simply cut the wire, or
the better way is to remove plug C1 from the DRL module, remove the plastic retainer that holds the pins in place and remove the wire
from the plug. Make sure you tape the yellow wire, as it may see voltage when the headlights are turned on manually."

Yes, if you want to have your park lights flash when you lock/unlock, and have the "auto on" only turn on your park lights.

Good read for diabling DRL's and auto lights. For some years after 00, removing the fuse from the glove box will not work to disable the auto lights. I did the resistor on my brothers 03 and it disabled the auto lights. No need to cut anything.
