Alright i finally got the old dp off with some air tools and have the new one on. only problem is, when i accelerate quickly or floor it, there is a slight hissing noise. My first though is, i have a leak. i took it to an exhaust shop in town and they said they could not find a leak what so ever. Maybe it's such a slight leak that only leaks when there is a lot of exhaust traveling through at once? Maybe the sound is normal? I'd like to hear what you guys think.

yes it has flex section. i was debating just taking it off and double check myself to make sure the gaskets are all properly aligned.

What brand DP is it? I have an older RT downpipe that ticked and I wrapped header wrap around the flex and it helped alot.
When you start it up cold do you hear a ticking sound coming from there at all?

no ticking what so ever. I can't even get it to hiss by revving it up in park. Only when its under load when driving can i hear that faint hiss. The DP is from zzp. Also i was curious if there is a right and wrong way to place those gaskets. The one made of sheet metal near the manifold has a side that protrudes out slightly. i put that side towards the dp. and the gasket near the resonator has a thicker side on one part of it. i put that side towards the dp as well. It really stumps me.

not sure that you can put the gaskets in backwards or not, but if you can hear a hissing i would think there would be a leak somewhere. im not sure what to tell you besides find the leak. :p
