The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
So the wife said she needed my car for the day. When I got home from work today my baby was backed into the drive and my windows were tinted! 5% all around!! Love my wife! once the windshield is replaced 35% going on it. :th_laugh-lol3: I'll post pics once weather permitted
That was nice of her, I wish we could tint our windows that dark up here. We can only do 50% on the driver and passenger windows, and nothing on the windshield.
lol its not illegal. you can do 20 percent in oklahoma according to our law books. you just cant do five percent and even if you do get pulled over as long as you roll down your windows before the officer walks up as a courtesy to them they dont even care. hell ive had them thank me for it and even gotten out of tickets just for having my windows down for them so they dont have to guess if i have a gun behind it or not. its all about the courtesy.

Having been a former Police Officer, that is soooooooooooo correct!! There have been many times when I have approached a vehicle with heavy, blacked out, tinting and even with the spotlight and take downs lighting up the car, you still couldn't get an accurate read of what's inside. Your demeanor changes in those kinda situations for sure! But when the occupant rolls down the window and turns on the interior lights it makes for a better stop.
Myself I have 5% on the back doors and the rear window and I am running 20% on the driver and passanger front, Missouri only acknowledges that 35% should be used on the front windows, but so far it hasn't been an issue for me. By law you can't be pulled over for just your tint. The officer has to have probable cause that something else has happened, usually failure to use a turn signal worked for me :th_laugh-lol3:
But now I am just Joe Citizen so I have to watch it
And congrats on the Good Wife Anniversery Gift! I can only hope you did something nice for her too!!
I cant begin to count the number of tickets I have gotten out of by just being completely polite, rolling down the window, etc. When they ask for license and registration I tell them, I have to reach into my back pocket for the license or I have to reach into my glove box for the registration, etc. Just let them know in advance. I completely respect the danger they face in such situations.
I dont try and talk myself out of tickets either, Ive never been pulled over and not been at least a little over the speed limit, so I dont give them any hassle about it.
only time I got a ticket for tint was in MI, and the cop wanted to write someone for something (he was later disciplined for writing bad tickets) I even had the windows down when he approached the car. Cost me $120 and 2 points on the drivers license (he tried to write a loud exhaust ticket, but I had a full exhaust on the car)
Well it's 35% on Cars here but I think I'll be ok. BTW I will never write a tint, exhaust, or stereo ticket unless it's a must. Like driving through the neighborhood at 2am bumpin is borderline. Sitting at a stop sign for 5 minutes in the same neighborhood deserves a ticket lol. Common sense.....amazing how many ppl don't have it.
Our truck is 5%. We do get harrassed, by 1 cop. A pot head cop at that. If we see a cop anywhere, we are rollin the windows down so hopefully they don't see how dark they are.
Zainoman, what exactly is it that you do to get out of these tickets???hmmm
jk
This sounds bad, but, I don't get tickets unless my husband is with me.
