• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I think the funny part is that I have the Extended PID's for Grand Prix and they do not work...
I have them as well, and they do not work. Tried the GM ones listed too, but they too do not work. Did we ever get the dev back to this thread after the link to the app on rapidshare was deleted?

W-Body KR PID
I have been following many forums on W-body cars, Grand Prix especially and nobody can get the KR part of Torque to work. Can someone come up with a solution for this problem? There are many people who bought the program under the assumption KR worked and are NOT happy. Please help!

KR was originally put in after someone from the grandprix forums allegedly found the PIDs for it and sent them over. Unfortunately after including them in the app I never received confirmation if the PIDs worked.
If you have a GP, and have the KR gauge displayed whilst being connected to the vehicle, and then send me a “comms debug log” (menu accessible from the ‘realtime information’ screen) I could have a look.

***If someone can do this we can get this going***

So I sent in a log and I got an e-mail back stating that he cant help me because I'm running a custom rom on my phone and it has broken bluetooth drivers........

So I've been playing around with this app and the bluetooth adapter, after reverting my phone back to stock, and this thing says I'm running -30 degrees of timing and 10 degrees of knock retard.......

totally off topic, but i was running a version of andriod on my iphone 3gs, overheated terribly didn't go to well.. jailbroken was a better way to go.

yeah my phone is 100% stock HTC Aria (2.1) and it doesn't work, Also tried my Old T-Mobile G1 (1.6) and also doesn't work :/

Well, I put a stock image back on my Moto Droid, and tried the KR. At first it said nothing. Then I switched to a different screen and then back, and it said 2.8* of KR, I switched again and back and it said 0.8* of KR. And this is on a Series 3 N/A. So I'm just gonna say it doesn't work for me either. However, I will try and get logs and email them to the dev to see what he says.

Any updates? I sent Ian the list of PIDs that came with UVscan. Hopefully he just has the formula or something wrong in the app and that is why it won't work.

so post the pid info for kr and we can see, can't we? the tables can be edited on the phone so one of the guys who has the blue tooth obd connector could test it without going through ian.

you'd think we're trying to get the effing shuttle into low earth orbit for all the jacking around in this thread. there's no way this should be this hard if someone with all the stuff focused and get it done. now the missing part --- working pid information, is here. lets post it and get the thing working.

PM me your e-mail and I will send you the two lists of PIDs. They are in Excel files and I can't post all of them on here.

Here is an example (KR):

Name:
Knock Retard

Formula:
22.5*N0/256

Units:
Degrees

Data length:
1

PID:
11A6

Group:
1

Short name:
KR

PID Cat:
1

Txt MCI:
%KRS%

Alright so I did some testing and I got something with PID hex 0111. It shows ~1.4* KR at idle and goes up as I hit the gas (in park). What kind of range should I be looking for with my L26?

11a6 warrants no data. The formula is the same throughout everything I've seen so I haven't touched it. I should be getting data that returns ~0* KR correct?
