Andesmint's 2000 GT.. BROKEN AGAIN!!

Re: Andesmint's 2000 GT.. Blown motor

You need to stop at my house and bring a wheel barrow full of money ill have a spare engine waiting and a turbo kit and enough suspension parts to redo damn near your entire car........ Oh and 3 different sets of wheels and tires to choose from.

but i dont have a wheel barrow...

Re: Andesmint's 2000 GT.. Blown motor

I'd never top swap considering the headache and how cheap used turbo setups are selling.

It's probably double.

But it also makes double the power and more.

Re: Andesmint's 2000 GT.. Blown motor

Well, long story short, I held a burnout a little too long hit KR and when i let off the throttle it was knocking. OOPS. I see this as a great opportunity however. I think i'll buy an L26 block, as I've heard the have better connecting rods, install my S1X blower cam, my top end expect with a gen V blower, and get it set up for E85... I also plan on holding off until I can afford to buy and build an HD trans... toss around some ideas, let me know what you think on what i just listed, and you guys can help me come up with a game plan! thanks guys
I know this is a little late, but the l32 has better connecting rods, the l26 connecting rods are toothpics, the smallest of all the Series 2 and Series 3 engines.

thanks for the tip slick. So an update, i've decided that since i bought a truck to drive around while i work on the car i'm going to save up and do everything i want all at one. Aluminum sub frame, sway bars, new LCA's with the ball joint mod thing, F body brakes (already have the calipers), hopefully a built trans, and obviously a new l32 block with an aluminum oil pan. if you guys have any other suggestions while the whole front end is blown apart let me know

Re: Andesmint's 2000 GT.. Blown motor

Bought a new bottom end. settled for another L-36 cuz i couldnt find an l32 near me for a good price. plus this one was only 200 bucks and only has 80k on it

So, for about a year now I've had the issue that I can't turn my key to start the car without teasing it for a while because of the lockout which I believe is ignition harness related? that didn't bug me much but then the issue progressed and my dash lights and DIC started cutting out. Also the speedo on the DIC was going nuts 0 to 150 MPH and all over the place. that started and went on for about a day without any other issue, however now when it occurs the idle drops and climbs along with the dash lights bad enough to the point where the engine cuts out completely. Are these issues all related to the ignition harness or what? The car is undrivable at this point and any tips would be much appreciated.
