• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

well the motor swap that got completed last week is FAIL... car drove great for a week... rod bearing has come apart on the installed motor. this may be the time for me to be done with GP's. :th_angry2:

It happens man. Just ask BlueGTP91. I think he's on motor 4 or 5. Hang in there. You'll get her goin again.

well it ran good for a week... i was at the drive thru yesterday and i noticed a light knock... i get back home and get to listening to it and it sounded like a rod bearing... well my second car is at my friends shop, so i had no choice but to try and make it out there and get my truck... cranked it up it ran for bout 3 seconds... oil pressure light popped on then it went bad... i now have 5 quarts of oil in my driveway and a decent sized hole in my oil pan... motor was warranted for 90 days so im bout to start dealing with all that now. This f*ckin sucks major nuts.

just went out and looked at it in daylight... spewed oil all over my rim, brakes, fenderwell, basically the whole passenger front is covered in oil. ahhhhhh mondays strike again.

sooo.. the junkyard i got the motor from is one of the biggest in the area and trusted among alot of shops around town.. all i have to do is get the car out there and theyre gonna put another motor in free of charge... fluids... all gaskets that i replaced... EVERYTHING... but he said its gonna be a week or 2 before he can have it done.

that sucks but hopefully the junk yard will take care of it for you. i just spun a bearing like 2 weeks ago. had the engine replaced (2nd time) and now its misfiring... i hate cars.

at least their gonna fix it sucks bought it blowing up though
every day i start my car a cross my fingers since me build

yea they totally have me as a customer for as long as i live in this area, if more ppl did buisness like that the world would be a better place. i knew i was covered under warranty for the motor... but for them to go the extra mile and put it in for me is great.

Good thing I've never blown a motor and know nothing about that stuff.

Sorry to hear man.

HAHAHAHA Nice Try Nancy ! :th_laugh-lol2::th_nanana:

On the other hand Glad the Junkyard is gonna take care of you. Not alot of business's will stand behind their stuff like that let alone install the motor for you. :th_thumbsup-wink:

Which is why As soon as i got this car I ripped apart the motor and replaced everything and used the Resurfacing tool did all the gaskets made sure everything was Good to go.

Then i started modding. :)

:th_thumbsup-wink: To that yard owner, how bout giving em a plug on here. This day in age, a business that goes the extra mile is rare IMO. Iv'e dealt with a lot of greedy and disrespectful shops and I'm really cautious before trusting my vehicles to anyone nowdays. Good luck with the fresh bullit. and LOL at your mod list. :th_laugh-lol2:
