The stereo shop installed mine on the backseat on the right side. He just screwed the amp into the backseat so that it stands upright but its slanted becuz the backseat is slanted too
Why people mount their amp to their sub box is beyond me. You have about 100 better options than doing it that way.For anyone with a 97+ gtp with a sound system, where did u put your amp other than connected to the sub box? Pics would be nice

Why people mount their amp to their sub box is beyond me. You have about 100 better options than doing it that way.
The point of my post is its a bad idea, no matter how many people do it. Only a novice would think its a good idea.
Think about it this way. Every time the sub hits it puts pressure and vibrations through the box. Do you really think that is good for an amp?
I know people who have had several amp failures, and all had the amp mounted to the sub box? Coincidence? Possibly, but I have never mounted an amp to a sub box and have never had an amp fail.
