Amp to Battery

SE2001

New member
Hey all first time on the forum and about to purchase a 2001 GP Sedan and will be upgrading the sound system first thing. Its nothing major but I was wondering if I need to purchase new battery terminals to connect my amp power or will the terminal ring connect to the existing ones? Thanks.

No need for new terminals. The battery cable runs from the battery to the top of the fuse box under the hood. Just connect your amp power line there.

One last question would I still connect to here when connecting the inline fuse? Or should I connect the inline then power to that spot?

Yes, you always connect a fuse when running a constant power line. You dont want to go any further than 12" from where you're getting the power from. This is how mine is connected, the fuse is circled.

Just fuse it as close as possible, I was told to fuse it in the rear also if you have another batt back there, what the heck , I did, can't be too safe! Distro blucks custom machined from www.TEAMprojectdb.com are what I use, he can make ANY configuratoin!
