Amp replacement

I have a 2005 GXP and I am thinking that I lost a channel on my amp because the drivers door speaker makes no sound and the other 2 front speakers pop at higher volumes (if the amp isn't the problem, please give me ideas). The problem I am having is that I would prefer to replace it with the factory monsoon amp because I have heard other amp will lose the dash speaker and I am finding plenty of the amps for sale but none of them match the part number of 10395208. I found one with part number 10340134 for a good price but will that fit? Or is there an aftermarket one that will work?

I personally have not had any experiences with the GXPs so I really can't help you out but if I was in your situation I would switch the speaker with one you know that works (pass door speaker) just to rule out that the speaker itself is bad.

GM Parts Direct: 10395208 - AMPLIFIER

Looking for a price lower than that?

If you wanted to diagnose the system you'd need a multimeter at the very least.

Check for signal coming out of the amp to the speakers. If you have signal there, check at the speakers. If not, wiring issue.

If you didn't have signal at the amp, check the input to the amp.

If no, check the radio. If yes, likely an issue with the amp.

I'm inclined to agree with the above post: Investigate the possibility of a damaged speaker/driver.

pop a 9 volt battery to the speaker itself, if it moves its good if not its amp or signal to amp causeing no sound
