Amp problems i think???

Mirraco

One BadAzz GT Dawgg
So a few weeks ago, i was driving, had my volume up to about 10 the whole day, and then my subs quit working..2 miles from home i drove home and noticed my amp ( hifonics 2200 amp) was smoking, pulled the system soon as i seen that. I figured i blew the amp for sure.

Fast forward to today, i got my alpine m100 amp, hooked i up same way my other amp was hooked up at 1 ohm, all i really did was removed the power cap, took the ends off the power cap and added a 4 gauge to 0 gauge adapter to fit into the amp. Got it all hooked up, and the amp light turns on, but no sound from the subs. Not sure, did i blow my subs, or did i somehow blow my rca cables?? The head unit has subwoofer options to turn it off, or to reverse, which means it somehow is getting signal down there, and when i pulled the system out, it didnt have those options.

What do you guys think? Its two alpine type r 12". Im so confused on how the amp has power now, and no sound..The Hifonics amp had a light on too, but it was smoking, even after subs turned off, i pulled my seat down in my 01 gt, and the amp still had light on(i have 04+ seats in it).

Nevermind i guess i figured it out..

What happened, if anyone has this problem:

I guess my RCA audio cables from cd player to amp went out like one minute before my amp started smoking, was it the cables that cause amp to go smoking or was i pushing the amps limits for weeks..Im not sure, but it was a cheap amp, new amp and no sound, ran rca cables and it was bumping good, so 200$ later, its fixed.
