Amp or no Amp

2000GTGP

alright i got a friend selling an amp at a good price. Currently i have no amp to my door speakers so bass from my sub kind of over powers them. I am just wondering if i hook this amp up would my speakers take the extra power. I know the rear will but im not so sure about my fronts.

Front Speakers: Memphis 15-PR52 (15pr52) - 5-1/4" Speakers - Sonic Electronix

Rear Speakers: Memphis 15-PR692 (15pr692) - 6" x 9" Speakers - Sonic Electronix

Amp i would be getting Zx640: Kicker ZX460-2 (zx460) - Discontinued Car Audio & Video - Sonic Electronix

it would be wired at 4 ohm giving 30 rms according to specs. Ive looked around and many have stated its actually ~50rms watts it puts out at 4 ohms. That would be perfect for my rear but would that fry my fronts? Would it sound bad if i just amped my rear speakers?

Also these speakers like to make the shrill "s" sound at times. if i amp that is it going to make it a lot worse. I can live with it if i does my main concern at the moment is can i run this amp to my fronts without frying them?

Thanks in advance

Just run the amp, you won't regret it either way. You will have a whole lot better quality from them. If the are set up right you shouldnt have to worry about giving them 30 watts.

30 rms would be great to the front but like i said after researching a bit people have stated it puts out around 50rms which is a little more than i need.

50 will be fine I think, set your gains down a bit. I'm running like 200 watts to my type r's in the front and the rms on them is like 110.

alright. the amp does have an amp 1 amp 2 setup with separate gains on each. put fronts on amp 1 back on amp 2 and turn gain down on amp 1. With running different power to front and back is that going to sound bad or should i adjust the gains on both to match? also will the shrill "sss" sound get worse?

sorry for all the questions still kinda new to all this audio stuff.

their shrill/over exaggerated. you know what im talking about if you have heard it before. ill wait for someone else to chime in on it.
