Amp and sub wiring

I have a 1000watt rms alpine amp with two type rs in a ported box, trying to figure out exactly how to run the necessary wires in a 2001 gt grand prix. I've heard multiple ways of doing it however I thought I'd ask for the best way specific to the model of car I have. Im pretty new so be specific thanks =]

What exactly do you need to know? Just run your sub wire from the underhood fuse block under the car to the grommet, then into the trunk. Use whatever bolt you would like to use. Then run your remote wire and rca's and you are set...

I just have been told the firewall is in my way and that its a big pain to get the cable through and I dont know what parts of my car Ill need to take off (interior) to be able to route it through properly.

theres 2 holes you can use to get through the firewall both in the pass side area
and theres 4 screws to take off the pass trim (bottom by door) if your a coupe run it down that way to the trunk same with rcas won't make a diff

well I know my car is nothing like yours 06 but I found the perfect hole for my 0guage to run through it was just under my master brake cylinder

had to deal with a screw on the doorpanels being stripped but I managed to get my power cable through, any ideas of where I should ground the grounding wire. Im completely lost as to where to put it. its not very long.

Alright Ill have some problems locating that I have no idea what that is, but how would I attach the cable I have to it to ground it, like strip it and leave it? or put a terminal idk I dont know much about cars either soo.

so my 4 gauge cable to grnd with is really short, only about 2 or 3 feet so I dont know how Im supposed to reach that tower thing in the engine from the trunk. unless Im stupid and have it all wrong.

? you can ground the amp in the trunk, i just has to be secured to bare metal so it can flow thru to the chassis

do not go under the car unless you like buying another wiring kit. i will admit going through the firewall is a btich but i did it and ran it under all the panels and everythign so you cant even tell anything there.

and if you cant find a bolt to hook your ground up to than your doing something wrong, look harder. you can use literally any bolt that conencts to your chassis

Or do what I did and just look for some bare metal that is close to the frame and grind off the paint. Then use a self tap, but be careful a be aware of were your drilling.
