Am I an idiot?

So, in order to get my gp to go through an E-test I had to use a stock pcm. I installed the new one went to do the e-test and immediately went back to the old one with a tune. Is it possible that I may have screwed up the custom tune from switching back and fourth? The car is great until just under half pedal than misfires like crazy afterward.

I was in such desperation to get the car to pass that I may have thoughtlessly done something quite wrong.
So, Am I a complete idiot?

So it misfires with both PCM's??????

Maybe you have a bad coil or plugs and wires. I think its time you figure this out with some testing.

Mods?

And what kind of tune?

No, It's only the one pcm doing it. I bought the car with the tune and he did it himself so I have no clue what has been done as far as that is concerned. The mods as far as I know is

Spectre cone filter
thrasher intake box
ported exhaust manifold
3 inch exhaust all the way back
exhaust has been heat wrapped in engine bay
magnaflow high flow cat
magnaflow mufflers (not sure what type)
U bend delete
180 t-stat
colder plugs
Taylor spiro pro 8mm wires
And thats all it has for engine mods anyway

Ahhh, i just went out to take a peek at the car and noticed that there was no heat on the rad cap so I checked if there was pressure in the upper rad hose and there was none. so I opened the cap an the rad fluid was ice cold. I just came back from a fairly long drive. So Im wondering if maybe the problem lies within that aspect and not the tune.

But thats for a different thread on the riverbank.

Changed the pcm back to stock and it definitely helped but the symptom is still there, just not as severe. but before I had problems the fans would run for about 20 seconds after shutting off the car, now it doesn't do that any more.

Yea, that's what I figured, so if they aren't doing what they are supposed to I'm thinking that other things might be all loopy.

Sounds to me like your tstat is bad. When they fail they fail at open so coolant is constantly going into your motor and not heating up. Mine did it one winter and I'd leave the car running for an hour with no change in temp.
