alternative to SC oil?

My car is fixed and sitting in a parking lot at my fathers job, I need to get it today but the SC only has one bottle of oil in it. Where he works has access to all kinds of normal oils Just not SC oil. Im getting a ride there so I cant stop along the way to get some GM SC oil. Is there anything I can run in it, for a week or two?

There is a dealer 10 minutes down the road, im planning to go there after I get the car and add it in the parking lot.

Really? I mean the oil lasts almost indefinitely, in sooo many cases it outlasts the entire car. Don't be a cheap ass on this one it may come back to haunt you later. As long as it isn't leaking it will stay in there. The bigger question is why is your level so low in the first place?

Of course using the "correct" oil is always best but if you look at the similar ratings that 0W20 has, it's likely a reason why some have used it.

The real stuff is better in some of the extreme situations but overall they are similar in the real world. I was a rebel and used it lol.

Hell, I drove for a year and a half with Mobil 1 5-30 in the sc, and never had a problem. It's not going to make any difference, going 10 miles down the road.

I've rebuilt more than 100 snouts, ones with motor oil are bad. You want to use it for 10 miles go ahead. I've used supercharger oil for 150,000 miles.
