well i just did a 3.6 pulley setup on my 05 gtp. and i ran autolite 104's well they are 2 weeks old ant 4 of them took a **** today. 3 of them the while insulator part spins. and another one cracked down the middle. these are probably the worst cheapest made plugs ive ever seen. im gettin NGK.

Are you really that sure that a trusted brand of spark plugs has a 50% failure rate after a few weeks. I’ll bet the hundreds of people on this forum that use AL plugs will run out and change now that you have discovered this problem!:th_liar:

Wake up and smell the motor oil. Either you installed them to tight, and/or you have detonation.

Cracked down the middle is a sign of detonation unless your referring to the part the boot goes onto. If that parts cracked it was probably install error.

X2 I've been running them for quite some time and NEVER had a issue with them breaking. Would also help if put antiseize of them and go ahead and fork out the money for NGK i'll stick with AL

I've been running ALs for a couple of years as well and haven't had any problems. You have supporting mods?

This thread is awesome.

People at work thought I was crazy putting 104's in my GP.

To them, nothing but delco can go in a GM.

yes i ahve supporting mods. i have 1* of knock. we couldn't get it any better. and NGK was the exact same price at autozone.

I'm also a bit confused about it:

AL606 stock heat range
AL605 1 range colder
AL104 2 range colder

TR55 1 range colder
TR6 2 range colder

Is that right? I took it from the safely modding sticky, but not really sure about the TRs
