Aftermarket door speakers?

I just bought these speakers for best buy, Pioneers.

Pioneer - 50W x 4 MOSFET CD Deck and 6-1/2" Car Speakers - DEH-SP091

Would they fit on my 97 grand prix gtp?
I bought them through my moms credit card (with her permission of course) and to come find out that their little "see if it fits on your vehicle" thing said it doesnt fit.

will that fit or nah?

6 1/2 is too big for our doors

so it wont fit on the doors? Or just the whole car, there's no way of putting it on there...

No they wont fit you could create a custom box for them an hook them up elsewhere in the car if you wanted though

dude you DO NOT have to build a box for 6.5's just build a adapter ring and they will fit. i have some in mine and they fit good.

no i dont sorry. i did the install before i found out about this site. i created a little fiberglass enclosure inside the actual door to give my woofer a baffle. but, before i did that i used 1/4" abs and a piece of 3/4"marine grade birch (incase it gets wet) as a spacer.

i was considering mounting 6 1/2 to thr console at the kick out for mid bass , might wanna look into that

I cut my door skin to make the 6 1/2's fit. You can always get new skins fairly cheap. Heres a pic..I am thinking about putting some rings together and cut an angle on them so they face out but for now i'm happy
