Got my Scan Gauge for ZZP yesterday installed it. Install was easy of course and this is what I see on power up

clearly its not functioning properly I contacted ZZP they refered me to Aeroforce whom has yet to respond on the forum or via email

Curious if anyone has seen this or if anyone has had problems with Aeroforce CS. I seen a few posts on their forum about them not responding.

Doesn't surprise me at all that ZZP refers you to someone else.

Haven't seen that issue before... Did you power it by just the OBDII port or did you run a constant power to it?

Just OBDII out of the gate but if you look closely you can see partial of the data up top.. It cycles off and on fine when ignition isnt on/off so thats why I havent put on an add a fuse yet havent had time either but its almost as if the lcd panel is damaged or defective in the morning when its 20° it has red streaks running vertically idk I just spent 240bucks on something I cant even use now well 50% can still red my KR its just BS in my eyes how zzp pawned me off I guess ill wait

ZZP customer service is poop

I would refer you to Aeroforce if you had it for awhile but the simple fact that you just got it obviously there's a defect that wasn't caused by you.

This is how helpful ZZP was

Hello,

My name is Josh Kirkpatrick I recently ordered an Aeroforce Scan Gauge (received order today 11/25) and x2 bottles of SC oil I installed my gauge ect. and half the screen does not illuminate it does not work as if its burned out. I need to return the gauge for replacement is there anyway I can get a return label so I can get a functional gauge in exchange for the flawed part.

THANKS

Josh Kirkpatrick

Sorry ass response...

Yea let's be quick to take his money and very quick to sending him to be manuf instead of offering any help or refund or exchange.

Im going to call them tomorrow and explain regardless it will make me feel better exploiting their BS over the phone rather than email this is only like the 2nd time ive ordered from them my first order was like 700bucks and all was fine and the more I think about it the more it pisses me off

Let us know if your able to get through via phone.. They suck at answer calls at that. I stopped buying things from them when they couldn't give simple customer service, I go elsewhere before I buy from them. You could always just dispute it w/ your cc company also.

the top of your screen looks like my entire screen... youre going to have to send it in to aeroforce. At least yours is under warranty!!

Sometimes mine just goes blank and gets a line through it out of the middle of no where, doesn't happen often but when it does i just unplug it and plug it back in. Mines older and Aeroforce doesn't feel like a great "quality" gauge, it doesn't surprise me to see problems like this with them.

Since you bought it from ZZP they should fix the problem by sending you a new one or refunding your money, there a vendor and should take responsibility for the products they sell. Telling you that you have to contact Aeroforce is BS in my opinion, Id be pissed and Id defiantly keep bugging them until they do something about it.

My opinion he shouldn't have to send it to aeroforce for warranty. ZZP should replace it for him, then warranty that one through Aeroforce. He just bought it and didn't work out of the box.

Did you pay Paypal or Credit Card? I would threaten to charge back on whatever you paid with, you ordered a product that ZZP did not deliver on, that is grounds for return/replacement.

Just because they are a reseller doesn't mean they are free and clear of responsibilities, product was suppose to be delivered new and working order.

I wish there was an alternative to the Aeroforce Interceptor that has all the functions, and looks as nice. All the other scan gauges I found seem to either not look as nice, or not be as versatile. Most of them dont seem to scan KR, either, and that's the major one for a lot of us.

I emailed the makers of "Engine Link"... one of the iOS versions of Torque, and that one does have the PID for KR and the app is only $5.99.. the wifi adapter you need is around $20... so for us iPhone users that's a pretty good alternative. Im gunna check that out if I dont get my gauge problem sorted out, but it still wont look as nice and stockish as the Aeroforce in the dash.

In other news, ZZP announced they will accept bitcoin for payment on stuff on Black Friday.

I hope they move a ton of stuff with bitcoin only to have it collapse on itself the next day. I know it won't happen but I would laugh.

If anyone is considering paying with bitcoin is an idiot, they are betting on it to continue to go up in value after you pay them and it more than likely will. They are saying it will break $1000 USD.

I bought it with my debit card so yeah technically a credit card

Even their black Friday stuff wasn that great (last year anyway)... "10% off z7 turbo kit!" and "free shipping (something we screw you on anyway) on injectors!" big whoop...

Curious if anyone has had problems with aeroforce cs before or are they usually pretty good I just want to be prepared in the likely event zzp cs is worthless as I hear more and more horror stories

OH WHAT A RELIEF - since ZZP clearly had other S*** to deal with Aeroforce seems as if they will take care of the gauge issue

here is the email response I received early this morning from Aeroforce

Please send it in with the attached form and we'll take care of it.

Shipping costs(upto $10 domestic,$25 international) will be refunded on all warranty items.
Thank You,
Pat

I bought two from ZZP and had a problem with one of them too. ZZP told me the same as the original poster and I received the exact same message from Aeroforce too. Aeroforce took good care of me I sent the bad one in and got it fixed within a few days free of charge. Works perfect now.
