Aeroforce Interceptor - Important items

Hi all, I just got this thing and have been playing around with it. My car has been running a little funky so I was checking out some of the different options but the basic stuff seems normal. I think my injectors may be clogged or something, is their away to check fuel pressure and what not?

Lastly, my car is stock, what would be some good parameters to watch for? For a 99 GTP would I use Intake Air 2 because it is S/C? And can someone tell me what the temp range should be for the transmission?

Thank you

The transmission should be in the temp range of 175 degree Fahrenheit to about 205 degrees. It will go much higher is the trans needs fresh fluid or is on its way out. My original trans was hitting 296 degrees on the highway before it died!

my trans was at 120 in my driveway idleing. my KR was at 0 idling, but i have that one set already! i will watch for that. what should coolant be 195 and under I am guessing?

What do you guys got your refresh rate at? i was reading you could change it from 1-6

Leave the refresh rate at whatever it comes with.

195-205 is what coolant will range from with a stock thermostat.

I choose to watch the cycle scan, so I have 8 different things going. Trans temp, ECT, RPMS, MAP in/hg (boost), mpgs, volts, KR and IGN adv (timing).

KR will always be zero while idling or low rpms, you wont see that be active untill you get on the car.

Run a whole can of seafoam through the tank if you think an injector might be gummed up.

I used both techtron (in tank) and seafoam spray (in intake) and it is still a little sluggish. Maybe it is just because it is a v6.

Five Finger- What is ECT Volts and Ign Adv monitor, and why would you want to monitor them? What range should the numbers be in? Thanks for your help.

Why don't you tell us what makes you thnk the injectors are clogged. It's tough for us to try and help you from what you've given us for info.

Bill, it is bogging when I hit the throttle from a cruise, then the power kicks in. Say I am cruising at 20, and go to pass someone it feels like it bogs before it kicks in. I replaced spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, ran techtron and seafoam and it has gotten much better but still has it a little bit.

I just went for my first somewhat long drive since I bought the car. My coolant temp got up to 219 and 220 at red lights, but the majority of the ride it was at 205-210. Based on what FiveFinger said that is about right. Not sure why it spiked a few times.

As for my Trans Temp it pretty much sat at 215-220 the whole ride. Does this mean I should replace tranny fluids?

I am due for an oil change if this has anything to do with these numbers. Thanks guys!

Those temps seem a tad high to me, cruising down the highway you should be closer to 190. I would do a coolant flush and new stock tstat. Check for vacuum leaks.

SLICK, i was reading that if your LTFT on the scanner are +16.4 all the time then you have an air leak. not sure if this is true, i just went for a drive and watched mine. just cruising it was between 3-8 then when i got on it it went up to about 14.

i am going to ask my mechanic about prices on a coolant flush tomorrow, the stuff in there looks horrible. i am getting hammered with poor maintenance from the previous owner. i find myself replacing a lot of stuff that should have been taken care of a long time ago... should i ask my mechanic about checking for vacuum leaks too?

i am trying to do a lot of the stuff by myself to save on ridiculous labor costs, but have limited knowledge under the hood. i know how to turn a wrench, but listening to the engine is not my forte.

My tranny hits 210-215 all the time when its hot and in traffic for awhile and its fine.
