• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Adding HUD and a DIC to your 97-03 GP

the wire for vehicle speed behind the gauges is that cut and spliced or is that tapped into? or what are you meaning by splicing? like into the orange wire for the power.

i have a 2000 and will be using a 98+ digital dic so i will still need to do the "97 only" to get mpg and range to work on it? just verifying with what The Guz said.

instead of cutting old pins and stuff for the VSS wire, can i use a dual splice connector at the back of the speedo and add a wire to it and run it over to the new dic harness?

finally put in digital DIC in my 02 and worth ever cent. Today i'm going to put in my HUD. Got them from the junk yard both DIC and HUD with all the wires, switches and plugs for $25. Cant beat the price.

ok WTF????? i did the dic conversion. everything seems to work good. i drove the car for ten miles and the range started chiming low but i have nearly a full tank. wth? any help will be appreciated

I pulled a DIC out of a 97 GTP today. After removing the old one out of my 97 GP GT, I was able to dig down and to the right and fished out the correct harness.

I just wanted to verify for you guys that the 97's appear to have both connectors... at least my 4 dr GT did anyways. The boost gauge didn't light up either. There was no hint of it even being from a GTP other than I knew it was from one.

As a side note, I'm testing a GTP computer in my GT right now b/c I plan to do an L67 swap soon. Although the car wouldn't run with the GTP computer, the boost gauge lit up and showed no bars! I'm relieved to know that once the swap is done, the boost gauge should work on the dash.

That's correct, when I first did my DIC/HUD install I was N/A and eventually did a ZZP ssM90 kit and had Overkill do a GTP program for me on my PCM...the boost gauge worked only after the GTP coding was in.

I'm glad to see that people are still finding these wiring charts useful...it was the easiest way I could think of to explain all the splicing in a simple way. The DIC and especially the HUD are great additions...I'm going to hate getting another car with no HUD.

alright, i reset the whole dic. the oil life works, the gallons used seems ok but the avg fuel economy is wrong (3.4 mpg?) and the range goes from zero to low which is also screwed up still. when i hook up my scanner while driving, it cannot connect. this won't fly when i go for inspection. when the car is off but the key is on, the scanner connects. i really need help on this or the whole project will seem like a waste. any help will be highly appreciated. thanks

yea i got my dic to work correctly. come to find out, the dual splice connector i used at the DLC didn't cut through the wire. it didn't even chafe the damn thing. anyways i just used a barrel connector and it works perfect. worth the money and time. also i fixed it about 3 weeks ago, just been to lazy to post lmao

i had an old 97 in my car

so you get the illusion of a 98+ car on the inside

Just received my new Digital DIC from Morad today. Can't wait to get it installed. The old analog unit was just about useless.
