• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

adding digital dual climate

Like as in the digital HVAC?

Because I assume you have the knobs/silders.

And the answer is no, you cant. Everything that controls it is different, wires, bcm etc etc.

Let me reword it. I have the regular dual climate controls with the sliders and I was wondering if I bought the digital controls if they it would just plug in and work right.

Anything can be done. You'd just have to swap out too much crap and it's not worth it.

And this has been asked before in many threads :p

Oh ok :) I didnt know if it made sense. and I saw them but I thought it was because they only had a one zone climate thing.

Nah they're all different in themselves. If you have the mechanical dual zones you got the best one imo. The digital one is nice but it can be quite glitchy. My 99 had the digital and I'm so happy to have my dual sliders. It's clean and it works.

Off topic, but don't you get pulled over allot with that color red? I had a 04' mustang the same color as your car and I use to get pulled over for speeding every week, even if I was doing the speed limit. They did not give me one speeding ticket though.

Don't worry it'll come... blue ain't no damn better. I've been pulled over north of 5 times in the gp. 2 tickets so far. Speeding, that is.

Sorry about thread-jacking an old post, but just in-case anyone comes across this post, I'm still working out some kinks, but I believe that I have accomplished this swap and it was about as bad as swaping digital dic and hud. I will be posting a how-to with diagrams once I've worked everything out. In the mean-time, here are things you will need: both temperature actuators (blend doors look the same but won't work), vacuum control module (located to the right of the blower, is integrated on the manual unit but separate on these), digital hvac head unit, and fan speed processor (behind the blower where the resistor is located), the vacuum tubing, sunload sensor, inside sensor, and ambient temperature sensor. All of these can be bought for less than $50 at the junkyard (mainly because they don't know what half these parts are).

I just wanted to let people like me who have been told "it's not possible" or "it's too hard, don't do it" that it IS possible it does not involve the BCM at all. But let me say one disclaimer, if you are not comfortable with running cabling trough the firewall, soldering wire, reading schematics, and general troubleshooting, then I would warn against attempting this.

If car is old enough pulling dash out and swapping in complete HVAC from jy donor with digital set up and new heater core and evaporator. Also might be better to make sure actuators are in good shape or source new aftermarket replacements. Also adding different dic, hud ets would be good time.
