Acura CL Turbo?

So my buddy at work has a '99 Acura CL v6 (stock) and he thinks it's the sweetest thing in the world (pretty sure my pile would win though). He says he's gonna turbo it by spring. Think he's legit? Also I'm not familiar with the performance of these cars but looking at the specs it seems to be pretty slow, though it does have a 4.2:1 final drive ratio (according to thecarconnection.com). One more thing -- does the v6 have 150 or ~200 lb-ft torque? I've seen both numbers. Lolquestions.

id say stock for stock youre both dead even. then again the series 3 puts out more torque than the cl although the gp is heavier. i doubt hes gonna turbo it it tho. top swap the gt and quit worrying.

I'm not gonna go the top swap route, I'm saving for a turbo build. My short term plans are rockers and HV3 then probably some suspension mods. I'm still on my stock tranny also so I'll be getting a TEP 3.29 after it ****s on me lol. I also calculated out the multiplied power for both cars and it's pretty close.

If its a 5 speed he might edge you out. But you can tell him its still a ****ty 99 and he shoulda went with a second gen CL type S

Only the 2.3L had the 5 speed option, it's a 4 speed auto.
