• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

actually a few questions

1. What is the sensor in the intake "bend" BEFORE the MAF sensor?
2. I've cut out the cat converter and replaced it with straight pipe due to a catalyst gone bad (Iol) but haven't been able to drive it yet due to other problems (see separate post) should I expect any significant change in performance or economy. So far my best 0-60 time has been 9.24 sec (digital stopwatch) on flat stretch of road and I'm averaging 22-23 mpg combined in-town and highway driving.
3. Where the @*%! is the TRUNK LIGHT? Am I missing something? I've looked all over inside the trunk for it. And no, my car didn't come with an owners manual- I really need to get one.

Thanks

1. its the intake air temperature sensor (IAT). you need it.

2. no performance gains or very minimal.

3. why do you need a trunk light? its supposed to have one..

Thanks Bio! LOL at your answer to #3. Well ya know I've gotta have it to make sure all the cash is there when I when I return my ~ahem~ enthusiastically acquired pick-ups to my boss. Nevermind about what he does for a living. LOL

The light location on my 2000 se.

Stage 3 light from Diode Dynamics to make sure there is plenty of light to check on all things acquired that may make there way into the trunk.
