AC Shutd down at high RPM

I have a 05 Pontiac grand prix with the regular 3.8. I replaced the AC Condenser last weekend after it rubbed a hole in it. it had been not working for a little while. I pulled a vacuum and recharged the system. it has now developed a problem at high rpm the AC will shut down and the Recerlation button will shut off. The compressor shuts down I have noticed

it shuts down at about 3000 rpms and restarts after I take my foot off the gas

That's how it's supposed to work so you don't explode the compressor

Should be based on TPS. I think factory is anything above 70% throttle etc.
