AC, heat, and cold air

2007GrandPrixGT

I have a 2007 grand prix gt with 93500 km's on it and the air that's blown into the car stinks like sweaty feet, or just plain stinks.

I have been haveing problems with the heat but it's all sorted out now, the air still smells foul though.

What is making it smell so bad? The car is clean and so am I hahaha by the way so what's the deal?!

you may have a air filter for the in cab air inlet. if you take off the cowl at the bottom of the wind shield on the passenger side, and look down you should see it,( or the fan if theres no filter) they get wet and smell musty, some gp's have the filter some dont, not sure about the newer ones, but my regal had one and it stunk bad, i just removed it and left it open.

this link will show you how to take off the cowl and wiper. http://www.grandprixforums.net/water-floorboard-take-2-permanent-fix-6961.html

If the cabin air filter doesn't fix it when you have that all open put a little baking soda in there to absorb some of the smell.

my ex used to work at a place called the radiator store, here in NJ. they also had a a/c shop, she told me that they would turn the fan on high, and put pine sol in a spray bottle, and spray it up the return vent (pass side under glove box area) and then switch the vent flow so all the vent tubes were coated in pine sol, she said it would smell fresh and clean and it kills bacteria and that mold smell.

never did it myself, but she said they did it to a lot of car that had the stink.

and my air filter was the root of the stink in my car, it was wet and filthy dirty.
